Core Workflow
The basic Vocoding workflow from voice to clipboard.
The Basic Flow
- Activate — Press global hotkey (or click microphone)
- Speak — Talk naturally about your task
- Process — Vocoding transcribes and optimizes
- Paste — Result is auto-copied to clipboard
Visual States
The app window shows clear visual feedback through a colored glow:
| State | Visual | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Idle | Subtle gray outline | Ready to record |
| Recording | Red/orange glow pulse | Listening to your voice |
| Transcribing | Blue glow | Converting voice to text |
| Optimizing | Purple glow | LLM is processing |
| Done | Green checkmark | Result copied to clipboard |
Auto-Copy Behavior
By default, Vocoding automatically copies results to your clipboard.
To disable: Settings, then Automation, then Auto-copy to clipboard, then OFF
Auto-paste (optional): Settings, then Automation, then Auto-paste at cursor, then ON
This pastes the result directly at your text cursor position. Requires accessibility permissions on macOS.
