Method 3: Mode-Specific Hotkeys
Cmd + Shift + R/Ctrl + Shift + R— Transcribe only (no LLM)Cmd + Shift + O/Ctrl + Shift + O— Optimize (with LLM)
Recording Tips
- Speak clearly — Normal conversational pace works best
- Minimize background noise — Whisper handles some noise, but quiet is better
- Don't worry about filler words — LLM optimization cleans "umms" and "uhhs"
- Be specific — "Create a login form with email validation" is better than "make something for users"
- Be specific about the outcome — "...as a blog post" or "...as a professional email"
While Recording
You will see:
- Waveform — Visual representation of your audio input
- Timer — Duration of current recording (MM:SS format)
- Red background — The microphone button turns red with a square stop icon
Canceling a Recording
